This amazing Photo was a wonderful discovery. Paul Rush from the group birds of Oz in Facebook published a series of photos of the whole family and this photo was one of our favourites.
This stunning crimson red parrot flew down once he saw the free seed on offer on top of the chicken coop.
He seemed to really love it, and it didn’t take long for me him to dig down deep into the container displaying that beautiful fluorescent lime green stripe on his wing.
I have found them to be a little more timid and shy compared to Lorikeets or other parrots.
It was also quite odd to see him on his own, because generally you see them in pairs.
My guess was the female was in the nest nurturing their babies.
I salvaged this photo in my old lap top and just had to share it with you, as I don’t have many photos of the King Parrot.
Please free to share this post online.

This surfer was all on his own on this winters day and was having blast hooking into some shoulder to head high waves on the mid north coast of N.S.W.
After watching him catch a handful of fun waves I decided it was time to pull out the camera and snap away.
I actually just updated my camera with a longer range zoom with 4k images, so lookout for more cool shots and video on the way.

Who said chickens don’t make great pets. Just look at these three chooks happily sitting with their owner Karin in the backyard on a molded plastic chair.
These 3 characters were not only great pets, but they cleaned up all the pests, laid 3 fresh eggs a day and brought us a lot of joy.
They also loved being buried in sand up to their necks!
This local fisherman in chasing the migrating luderick that fill the waterways here in the months of winter and spring.
What could be better than, throwing a line here and relaxing in the winter rays. Hard to beat I would say!
